In 1831, she began hosting her own Sunday musicales—the Sonntagsmusiken—with an impressive guest list of composers, writers, and performers. This program explores works by Fanny and her musicale attendees, including Clara Schumann, Franz Liszt, and Heinrich Heine.

1930s Chicago was bursting with music. Blues, jazz, gospel, and classical collided to bring thrilling sounds to the public. Estella Bonds, mother of composer Margaret Bonds, opened her home for Sunday musicales where leading artistic and literary figures, neighbors, and friends would gather to celebrate the music of the time. This program pays tribute to Estella—a trailblazing woman who created space for artistry and community.
